Anna Jane Hartman sent a CD with music from the Band in 1964, 1965 and 1966 to classmates that were in the band. Here is what she wrote the band members. "Enclosed is a CD of the record made by the Sweepstakes winning Monterey High School Band of 1964-65. We were all members of that band and the weekend of Sept 9th and 10th, 17 of us got together during the 45th Reunion. We missed you, but we had a good time, and hope to do so again. Perhaps you can join us for the next one. If you remember Stan Washington who played tuba, you can thank him for the CD. His sister, Dolores (Washington) Morton of Owasso, Oklahoma, found the record while distributing their Mother’s things. Dolores made the CD’s for everyone and has graciously offered to make more if needed. When the band got together on Friday night, Mike Brown wore his Drum Major whistle for the first time since High School. We had a special guest and to get everyone’s attention, Mike used that whistle. Our special guest was Keith Bearden, former band director at Monterey.

"Don't miss the 50th reunion ... who knows what they might do then.
