               Pat Nesbitt

My name is Vicki Nesbitt and I was forwarded the website of the Monterey class of 66.  I was married to Pat Nesbitt who died on December 1996 of cancer.  He was a long time member of the Lubbock Police Force and was a very dedicated courageous civil servant. He was a wonderful husband, friend, and father to one son who has followed in his father’s footsteps and continues to live I Lubbock.  While Pat actually graduated from Coronado, he always considered himself a “Plainsman” and had more friends there than Coronado.  Many of his growing up years were within a block of Monterey and followed Monterey teams growing up and regrettably went to Coronado when it opened along with a few others.  That first year, his senior year as nothing like the typical “senior year” as they had no cafeteria, and no auditorium and were mostly in temporary housing at Coronado-no wonder he always considered himself a “Plainsman”.  Was a council member for your class both your sophomore and junior years.  I am not sure if you would consider placing him in your “gone but not forgotten” column as he was a classmate of so many of you, but thought  I would send the information in case.  I am a member of the Monterey class of 67 and still proud to say I am a “PEON”.  I hope you have a great reunion!
